Mass Flow Meters
These very unique meter types utilize the Coriolis principle to meter product. Essentially a tube(s) (usually in the form of a "U") is driven to vibrate at a resonant frequency. The product is then pumped through the meter causing a deflection in the legs of the "U" shaped tube. As one leg lags behind the other, the lag time is measured through the use of sensors within the meter. This lag is proportional to the mass of the product passing through the meter and is converted into a mass output.
